  • Sustainably sourced wood, shaped by local artisans

“Horse Greeting the Sun” is handcrafted from wood by Hội An artisans, inspired by the moment a horse turns toward the first light of day. Its poised head, elongated form, and golden detail rising above the deep red lacquer evoke the warmth of dawn – a quiet image of awakening, vitality, and the courage to move forward.

Created by Hội An artisans, the artwork brings together natural weathered wood and the signature hand-finishing techniques of Làng Củi Lũ – Driftwood Village. The raw grain, cracks, and knots of the timber base are preserved alongside layers of red lacquer, dark metallic patina, gold accents, and small handcrafted ornaments. These contrasting materials give each piece its own distinctive character.

Symbolizing optimism, courage, and new beginnings, “Horse Greeting the Sun” brings a strong sculptural presence to the home, office, or curated art space. It also makes a meaningful handcrafted gift for someone beginning a new journey or looking toward a brighter chapter.
