A TRACE OF THE STORM

Following Typhoon Wutip in late September 2013, this piece of driftwood was found and collected along the coast of Quang Nam. Wutip, known in Vietnam as Typhoon No. 10 of 2013, was one of the major storms of that year’s typhoon season. As it approached Central Vietnam, strong winds, heavy rain and rough seas affected a wide stretch of the central coastline. At the time, Wutip was considered one of the strongest typhoons to make landfall in Vietnam since Xangsane in 2006.
