AFTERMATH OF THE STORM
We discovered this piece of driftwood along the coast of Quang Nam following Typhoon Nari (Storm No. 11) in October 2013.
Unlike Typhoon Wutip, which had struck shortly before, Nari made landfall directly in the Central-Central region. The storm swept through the Da Nang–Quang Nam area, bringing strong winds and heavy rain, and causing widespread damage.
In the span of just half a month, the Central region faced two consecutive storms: Wutip and then Nari. For Quang Nam, this marked one of the most significant natural disaster events of 2013.
