Following Typhoon Linfa and the floods of October 2020, this piece of driftwood was found along the coast of Ha My Beach, Quang Nam.

Linfa – Typhoon No. 6 of 2020 – moved into the Quang Nam-Quang Ngai area on 11 October, while Central Vietnam was already experiencing days of intense rainfall.

The danger came not only from the winds of the storm itself, but from yet more rain falling over river basins already swollen with water.

Storm followed rain.

Rain followed flood.

And the 2020 disaster season was far from over.
