A TRACE AFTER THE STORM

Following Typhoon Damrey and the severe floods of November 2017, this piece of driftwood was found along the coast of Cua Dai Beach, Hoi An.

Damrey: Typhoon No. 12 of 2017 was one of the most destructive storms to strike Central Vietnam in years.

Quang Nam was among the affected provinces. After the storm passed, continued heavy rainfall caused rivers to rise and widespread flooding to develop across the region.

Thousands of homes were destroyed and more than one hundred thousand were damaged across the areas affected by the storm and subsequent floods.
